Hello everyone !
If I have to talk about my experience learning english I would say that this definitly has been one of my favorite classes, specially because it has been a natural, a sharing time full loaded with laughes....this it's important for me (not only because it's super fun) because I think that one of the biggest obstacles to learn a language it the shame... to talk, to don't know what to say, to be listened, etc...
I've always was kind a "good" student at the english classes at school. it wasn't hard for me, but let's be honest... year to year are the same topic classes, so it won't represent a real challenge for me. I was REAAAAAALLY bored of "Simple present/ Participle past/ past continuos/ frecuency adverbs", that of course are necessary lo learn at the beginning, but they are not the most important part of knowing a language (Specially because I'm a native spanish speaker and I'm not reaaly sure of what its the past participle in this language neither hahaha)
Blogs are nice too, because it let us pass a time thinking in another language (and having a peace time with our mind sometimes hahah ), and be frequently writing in english it's a great professional tool
So I'm completly happy with my experience learning english at university :) It has been a real challenge and one of my favorite times of the academic journal...
Now this is finishing, but I'm sure that it's not going to be forgoten because now I read more articles in english and don't believe that I'm getting a bad interpretation (well, almost everytime) and I recomend you to enter at the facebook page CITY TOURING, it's a memes pages, and it's not allowed to speak our native Taco language hahah
Speacial thanks to our teacher, you made a really great job, please never loose your sense of humor :)

FAU Architecture teaching methods
Hi everyone! Today I'm going to talk to you about a
few things that I think that should change in our career...
I'm really in love with
architecture, I have no doubts that this is my major and I want to get it even
thought it cost me a lot of time. because I'm waiting for the part that comes
after this years of study... anyway, I have to say this 'cause I feel really disappointed
about how we learn our career, I know that there's a lot of things that could
get better at the faculty facilities and the use of technology, even with the
time that we spend here (that often it's like a subhuman manner), but what
really angers me it the way that the subjects are planned in relation of the
times and importance...
I’m talking about the (forgotten) theory subjects…
Being honest these are my favorite subjects, because I
can really study about architecture and what it means in the real world (let’s
be honest, in workshop most of time we don’t know where are we going, it all
goes by trials and mistakes, and it’s good in a way, but it’s not everything),
the relations between the architecture and politics, art, the environment and a
lot of other things that are very interesting and necessary for the students…
But we have to spend so many time at workshop (16 hours of class, not counting the time that we send working at fau or in our homes for it) and we are so busy that we can’t sleep, and guess what… we got slept
in these classes or we just don’t give them the necessary time to learn,
neither the necessary importance to make good works or essays ‘cause we’re just
trying to not-fail the subject…

I think that it’s wrong and unfair for us as students
but for teachers too… they are giving us knowledge that we can’t take advantage
of and that’s really sad, because it creates incomplete students…
That’s all, thanks for reading

A person I admire
A person who has inspired me in my major, is Alejandro Aravena. He's a young chilean architect who reciently won the Pritzker price, something like the Nobel of architecture.
I think I choose him as someone to admire, because he uses the architecture as a tool of thought, usually people who win the Pritzker creates amazing and georgeus buildings for enterprises or magnates, but he and his office ELEMENTAL, have done something different... they start creating an architecture for limited resources that not only suplies the needs of the people but also gives them an opportunity of making changes inside the projects after these are ready.
The project I like the most, remember me to a chilean expression when a house or any stuff it's really amazing, we use to say "la media casa", as something really cool... Aravena took that expression and create something called the Half House, the office designs the half of the house with all the basic rooms, like kitchen, bathdroom, bedrooms, living room, etc, and leaves people the other half, with all the basic structure, to gives them the chance of uses that anyway they want.
Maybe it's something not that attractive as Zaha Hadid or Frank Ghery, but this kind of thinking in architecture is what make real changes in our society, because it brings back to people the dignity that they deserve, not just four walls and a roof, they recieved a home, they aren't slaves of their house anymore, because now they can be free of living like they dreamed, and that's all I want to make as an architect.

Summer Holidays
Hey! Hello everyone
The weather has change and now I'm just waiting for my (short, so short :( ) holidays, I can't wait to finaly finish workshop and be a free bird on the air hahaha
I hope to visit Valle de la luna and Valle de la muerte, I believe that these are extraordinary places, it's just so diferent to everything that we usually see, a landscape with an unbelievable geography, that looks like taken from a science fiction movie
And following the water, there's the Laguna verde, where you can swim and refresh for a while, rounded by beautiful landscapes too
Finaly, finish everyday looking at the most beautiful shy full of stars
Thanks for reading
The weather has change and now I'm just waiting for my (short, so short :( ) holidays, I can't wait to finaly finish workshop and be a free bird on the air hahaha
If you don't know, this year Chile has win (again) the World's travel award, so I would like to spend my holidays here.
As I tell you before, I already know a little bit of the south of Chile, so this time I'd like to visit the north, specially San Pedro de Atacama, and the nearest places...
Valle de la Luna
Valle de la Muerte
Another thing that I'd like to see are the Geiseres
del Tatio, and amazing phenomenon of nature, hot water raising from the
earth at the most arid place of the world
And following the water, there's the Laguna verde, where you can swim and refresh for a while, rounded by beautiful landscapes too
There's the Ojos del Salar too, I hear that you can always see some flamingos
And see the little town, it has very interesting pre-columbian ruins , these are reciently restaured ( I know because my boyfriend went as a volunteer, as part of the Injuv program)
Finaly, finish everyday looking at the most beautiful shy full of stars

A special Talent
Hello everyone, today I will talk to you about my watercolors addiction hahaha.
Since I was a little girl I've always like to paint, from coloring books to just some abstract color mixtures
But being honest, I use to have many troubles with the prolixity of my draws and paints, so when I was, I don't know, like 8 or 9 years old I stopped doing it because I just felt that I wasn't good enough.

But then I found the light hahaha I started painting with watercolors, I've never had taken lessons (that's why I believe that it's special) but I just felt so attracted by the simplicity of this type of paint, that I just can't stop. I guess that it makes me feel so relaxed and free, there's no mistakes in watercolor, there's no perfection neither, so, being free of that, you can concentrate on what you are doing and enjoy it to the top :)

I don't have pictures of my own paintings online, but these is the kind of style that I really love, lightly and clear :)
So that's everything, thanks for reading.

And after pregrade... what?
Hi everyone!
If you ask me today what am I going to do after I finish my pregrade career, I guess I'm going to be a little confused... It's not something that I have clear now, I mean I really want to do it, but I'm not sure of what to study, but I have been thinking in some options...
Being honest I really like my career, so I'm gonna study something that strenghtens it, I think that we, as architecture students from UChile, are not prepared in many areas, and the hardest part is that in these areas is where architecture it's really important, I'm talking about economy, or politics, where our major usually got troubles, because in Chile, there's not a real care about how people lives... I think that it's necessary to provide new solutions, from the use of the resourses (not just the enviroment, that's the base, but we need to reconsider how money resourses are spend).
I have to clarify that these aren't my favorite topics, but it's where we really can make (little) changes...
I would like to study in another country, I haven't think where, but I belive that study outside it's a great experience, and let's be honest, it really add points to your CV haha, so a part- time course will be grat for me.That's all for today, thanks for reading... :)

My dream future jobs
Hello everyone, if you ask me about what is my dream future job, I think that I'll give you a doble answer... let me explain you...
Since a couple of year ago, I started as a bakery, not professional, I'm a self taught. So, I got a friend, she was a gluten intolerant, and she was always eating rice cookies that doesn't even like her, but she had no option ... She was very nice with me, so I decide to make her a gift... I prepareed her a box of cupcakes (I'm a cupcake lover haha, I think that they're so pretty). I baked it with rice flour and specially selected ingredients, and of course being carefull with the cross contamination, because I didn't want her to get a bad surprise...
So when I finally give her the cupcakes she started to cry, she was very thankfull because she had never eating something like that without being afraid of getting sick... The next day she wrote me a beautiful letter, I could never imagine how important was that for her... So since day that day I dream with open a bakery shop that serves cakes for everyone, diabetics, gluten intolerants, vegans, lactose intolerant, etc. I like to imagine that maybe that would make a lot of people very happy, bringing them the oportunity to share moments... I'd like to open it in Santiago, or maybe Valparaiso...
And my other dream job it's relationed with the architecture, I want to participate at a NGO, something like "Building trust", they bring architecture to people who needs it, I like that they make what people need, with materials that belongs to the places and the help of the local people, it's like a friendly work around the world :) It's not luxury architecure, and it doesn't has the purpose of be a famous icon of architecture, they just respect the traditions of the communities, and I would like to travel, but I'll be happy to help on Chile too... but I still want to travel haha. I don't think too much about the money, I mean, it's really important, but the pursuit of money isn't the purpose of my life, so I don't want it to stop me.
